Where to Buy Artifact Pottery

In the past, I have participated in several juried and non-juried art fairs, but this year we decided to try something different and stay closer to home.

Farmers Market, Manistee, MIEvery Saturday, May 15-September 11, 2010, from 8:00 am to noon, weather permitting, you'll find me at the Manistee Farmers Market, located at the corner of Washington Street & Memorial Drive, just north of the Manistee River which runs through downtown.  This is the first year the Farmers Market will include artists & crafters and I am happy to be participating in my home area.  Local live music is offered from 9:00 'til noon every market day.  I am planning on being elsewhere on July 10 and 17, but otherwise I should be in my booth.   What a combo: great fresh veggies, local baked goods, and handmade pottery!

Farmers Market, Ludington, MI:  Every Friday, June 18-August 27, from 3:00 PM to 8:00pm I'll be in my booth at the Ludington Farmers Market downtown, at the James Street Plaza on Ludington Avenue.  On select Fridays in July and August (July 16, 23, 30 and August 6) the Ludington Farmers Market will host some great local live music and stay open until 9:00pm.  I know I will miss July 9 and 16, but I should be in attendance the other Fridays, weather permitting.  Come and enjoy fresh local produce and attractive one-of-a-kind stoneware pottery, as well as other home-grown arts & crafts.

Sleighbell Arts & Crafts Show, Manistee High School, Manistee, MI, December 4, 2010, 9:00am-4:00pm:  This event is a fund-raiser for our local hospital auxiliary, and I like to support it.  It is always a big, fun show, with over 100 booths filled with great handmade Christmas gift ideas, a fabulous bake sale and live music.  What's not to like?  It's held at the new high school on Twelfth Street, just off US 31, and has plenty of nearby parking.  Come and enjoy Manistee's Victorian Sleighbell Parade and Old Christmas Weekend, December 2 through 5.  Google the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce for more information on the parade and Old Christmas Weekend.

My Home-Based Gallery:  I have a 10' x 30' "Florida" room overlooking our large pond which is dedicated to displaying my pottery.  Please call (231-723-3495) or email me ahead of time if you want to stop by, because I am in and out a lot.  You'll need driving directions since we're off the beaten path, and MapQuest, Google Maps and GPS systems always send people down the wrong roads.  If I'm not home when you call, please leave a message and I will get back with you, or click here to email me.    This year, the gallery will be sparsely stocked until September 12, as I am leaving most of my pottery packed up between weekly farmers markets.  Closing for the winter on December 26.

Online Sales:  I also sell my pottery online, at this site.  As you browse through the website, if you see something you like, just jot down the item number, its description & price (under the photo).  Then, when you're done, click on the Order Form link and follow the directions.  I accept Visa, MasterCard, personal checks or money orders.  Even though my gallery is closed in the winter months, I still will respond to website inquiries throughout the winter and will gladly sell my work anytime and ship it to you.  Note: I make no guarantee that items pictured on the website are still available for purchase.
