Where to Buy Frog Pond Pots

Visa & MasterCard accepted at all venues below:

In the recent past, I have participated in several near and far juried and non-juried regional art fairs, but this year I'm saving gas and stress, and instead I'm doing a weekly farmers market in Manistee and a few nearby shows, listed below.

2011

Farmers Market, Manistee, MIEvery Saturday, May 21-September 24, 2011, (except September 10th) from 8:00 am to noon, weather permitting, you'll find me at the Manistee Farmers Market, located at the corner of Washington Street & Memorial Drive, near the north bank of the Manistee River channel which runs through downtown.  This is the second year the Farmers Market will include artists & crafters and I am happy to be participating regularly in my home area.  Local live music is offered from 9:00 'til noon every market day.  You'll find my booth directly across from the live music.   What a combo: great fresh veggies, local baked goods, live music and unique handmade pottery!  What's not to like?

Frog Pond Pottery on River Street, September 10, 2011:  This Saturday only, between 8am and sometime in the afternoon, you'll find Frog Pond Pottery on River Street in Manistee, near Goody's Juice & Java. Look for some of the other Manistee Farmers Market vendors to make this temporary move, in order to join in the fun of the annual Port City Festival activities.  The Port City Festival is a great end-of-the-season celebration, with many activities for folks of all ages.  In the past, there has been a chili cook-off, live music, a craft show, and many more events.  Call 231-398-3262 or check with http://www.manisteedowntown.com/ for more information.

Celebration of Lights Craft Show, Onekama, Saturday, November 19, 2011, 10:00am-3:00pm: Come to the Onekama Schools Cafetorium to kick off the area's holiday arts & crafts show season. This event, which until last year was held at Onekama's Farr Center, is to benefit the Portage Lake Association. In this larger location there's more room for customer parking outside, and for additional booths inside. There will be over 30 artists & crafters, a chili cook-off and a bake sale. Wow - find a special handmade Christmas gift for a family member or friend and get some home-baked goodies at the same time. What's not to like?  Onekama Schools is located at the top of the hill in downtown Onekama.

Ludington Arts Center Holiday Craft Show, Saturday, November 26, 2011, 10:00am-4:00pm. This one-day juried show promises to be one of the area's best holiday craft shows, with an emphasis on original, quality work.  In addition to handmade, one-of-a-kind crafts that make great Christmas gifts, there will be live music, a bake sale, gift wrapping service, and a holiday raffle.  Lunch will also be available.  Note: I'll be on the main floor gallery, please stop by and check out my booth.   The Ludington Arts Center is located at 107 S. Harrison Street, in downtown Ludington, one block south of US-10.

Sleighbell Arts & Crafts Show, Manistee, Saturday, December 3, 2011, 10:00am-4:00pmWith over 100 booths, this is one of the region's largest holiday arts & craft shows. It's always packed with folks looking for that one-of-a-kind gift for someone special on their Christmas list. Located in the gym and commons area of Manistee High School, on 12th Street, west of US-31, just south of the downtown area.   Twelfth Street has Glen's Market, Manistee Catholic Central and a Goodwill store on the corner with US-31.  In addition to a wide variety of craft items available, there's also a big raffle, giant bake sale and live music. This show is a fundraiser for the West Shore Medical Center Auxiliary, a charity I like to support.  They do lots of good works for the West Shore Medical Center and the Manistee community.  I'll be in booth #131 in the commons area, please stop by and say hello.

My Home-Based Gallery:  Overlooking our large and picturesque pond, I have a 300 sq ft "Florida" room which serves as my sales gallery.  Please call (231-723-3495) or email me ahead of time if you want to stop by, because I am in and out a lot.  You'll need driving directions since we're off the beaten path, and online maps and GPS systems always send people down the wrong roads.  The roads are all paved except for the last mile or so, and the road commission keeps that dirt road in good shape.  If I'm not home when you call, please leave a message, or click here to email me for driving directions.      Closing for the winter on December 26th and reopening May 1st.

Online Sales:  I also sell my pottery online, at this site.  As you browse through the website, if you see something you like, just jot down the item number, its description & price (under the enlarged photo).  Then, when you're done, click on the Order Form link and follow the directions.  I accept Visa, MasterCard, personal checks or money orders.  Even though my gallery is closed in the winter months, I still will respond to website inquiries throughout the winter and will gladly sell my work online anytime and ship it to you.  Note: I make no guarantee that items pictured on the website are still available for purchase.  I hope to do a better job of updating the website regularly this coming year.
